| This is a hand-built yurt constructed in 2009, and used as a family home for just over a year. It is well-built using strong Fir for the six-foot khana/lattice walls and rafter poles. The cover has a 15-year warranty... well, 13 years left, but will likely last much longer. It has four windows (vinyl) and screens which roll up. Single door is also made of Fir. It comes with insulated wooden floor, and charming European wood heater which heats the insulated interior very well, even on the coldest winter days here on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It does not have a sky dome, but a diamond shaped removable cover keeps weather from entering through the roof's wheel. It also has a removable 'wind stick' which can be used to support the wheel in high winds, keeping the structure completely safe. | I'm interested in putting a yurt on a yurt-friendly property in northern Anne Arundel Co. (Maryland). I plan to be in Maryland a couple months a year. I currently live in Maryland, but plan to move to the Big Island (Hawaii) within the year. I will be looking for a small piece of land to live on in a yurt there for approximately ten months of the year. I will consider a "trade" for land usage in Maryland in exchange for use of my yurt in Hawaii during the months that I'll be on the east coast. | |||||

| My fellow musician and I are looking for a used yurt to set up in midcoast Maine. We would prefer that it have the full insulation package, and a snow package as well. This is not a necessary thing, since either option can be added later on, just a nice option. As far as size, if it has a 14'+ diameter, we're interested. It will be used to live in while building a music studio on the property, and quite possibly for a while after that. | We built our dream yurt on a relative's land in October 2011, then 2 months later had a falling out. Hopefully our dream yurt can now fulfill your yurt dreams! We bought everything brand spanking new. It is a 20 ft Pacific Yurt with tall wall, one door with a screen door, a second door opening (planned to put a window a/c there - you could do that or put in a door), two windows with two awning frames, tinted dome and bug screen, beautiful cork floor with sub-floor and 4x4 sub-floor support, handmade insulated wall panels, with roof insulation and handsewn fabric ceiling. We also have a brand new Harman P43 pellet stove with pellets and everything you'll need to install it in the yurt. We are in Dallas and would prefer you to pick up, but can talk shipping too. | We are working on moving off-grid and building our own home and will need a sturdy shelter for the interim (and as a studio after!) Family of 3-4, we will probably live in it for 2-3 years. Can pay a fair price. The good part is that we live in Nebraska but are going on vacation through Colorado, Kansas, the Oklahoma ozarks, southern Illinois and are hoping to move to northern Missouri, so we can pick it up in a variety of places. Duro-last roof (tan) with 13 years left on transferable warrantee; Protech triple-laminate vinyl 7' exterior walls (terra cotta with brown valence). Wall insulation, including interior window covers. Four screened windows. Vinyl exterior windows. Aluminum awning frames let you leave windows open all summer. Unused stove flashing. New, all would cost $7,250+. Asking $5,000, less than depreciated value—you pick up, available mid-May 2012. Good yurt karma at no extra cost. Would keep them except I have a new/noisy neighbor and am putting in solid walls.
